Shikshit Rojgar Kendra Prabandhak Samiti (SRKPS) is leading efforts to create a tobacco-free Rajasthan by strengthening tobacco control initiatives across 13 districts, including five newly created districts. The project focuses on institutional development, capacity building, and the effective enforcement of tobacco control laws under the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) and Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003.
SRKPS empowers government departments, local bodies, and community organizations to adopt sustainable practices like Tobacco Vendor Licensing, Tobacco-Free Villages, and the Tobacco-Free Generation model. Through engagement, training, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, the project raises awareness, enhances enforcement mechanisms, and counters tobacco industry interference. With over 35 years of experience in public health and community development, SRKPS continues to build healthier communities by promoting evidence-based interventions and collective action. The organization remains committed to protecting lives and creating a tobacco-free future for Rajasthan.
